The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has congratulated Christians in Nigeria and around the world on the successful completion of the Lenten season and the celebration of Easter.

In his Easter message, released on Good Friday and signed by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director and Head, Media and Public Relations, NCPC, the Executive Secretary states that, “without the resurrection, there is no Christianity”.

According to him, Easter is a message of resurrection and renewed hope. He further emphasised that Easter is a call to sacrificial living, stressing that without Easter, there is no message.

He also urged Christians to ensure they live in peace with all people, especially among those of other faiths. In his words: “Let us live peacefully. We need peace in the world and in Nigeria.”

Bishop Adegbite, further enjoined Christians to pray for a better Nigeria and admonished them to embrace peace and be their brothers’ keepers.

While urging Christian faithful to celebrate with moderation and extend hands of fellowship to people around them, as ambassadors of Christ.

“It shall be well with the President of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu, and all those who mean well for our dear nation Nigeria.” he concludes.
