Workers Day: Raise Bar Of Service In Nation Building – DG NILDS

The Director General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, Professor Abubakar Sulaiman has urged Nigerian workers to use the instrumentality of being the engine room of the nation’s development to raise the bar of performance for enhanced service delivery .

Professor Sulaiman gave the charge on Thursday, May 1st in a felicitation message to public servants on the occasion of the 2025 Workers Day Celebration.

A statement by his Media Adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri, Professor Abubakar reminds workers of the significance of celebrating their Day on 1st May of every year.

” The celebration goes beyond the symbolic match past as well as chanting and chorusing of Aluta Slogan to include engendering a new thinking and change of workers attitude towards navigating a new direction that will launch the nation on the paths of sustainable socio- economic growth.”

The former Minister of National Planning tells workers not to allow the sacrifices of the founding fathers of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, the likes of Pa Michael Imoudu, Comrade Pascal Bafyau and Comrade Senator Adam Oshiomole to be in vain towards berthing public service of their dreams.

While congratulating public servants on this year’s workers day, Professor Sulaiman urges them to key into the ideology of the Renewed Hope Mantra of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for a greater Nigeria.
