As the Female Yellow Greens continue to impress at the ongoing Kwibuka T20 tournament in Rwanda, the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) is preparing to launch a landmark Level 2 Coaching Course aimed at strengthening cricket development across West Africa.

The course, according to the NCF, is part of its long-term strategy to deepen technical expertise and build a sustainable coaching structure in the region. Final preparations have been completed for the programme, which will bring together emerging and experienced coaches.

Designed to produce a new generation of elite trainers, the course will equip participants with the tools to identify, mentor, and grow cricketing talent—particularly at grassroots and national levels.

While the majority of attendees will be Nigerian, coaches from Ghana and Sierra Leone are also expected to participate, underlining the Federation’s broader commitment to regional collaboration and cricket development.

The initiative comes at a time when Nigeria’s presence in international women’s cricket is steadily gaining recognition, further positioning the country as a key player in the sport’s growth on the continent.
