A Mini Volleyball Tournament has held at the Volleyball Court in Package B of the Moshood Abiola Stadium.
The tournament featured teams from across the Federal Capital Territory, consisted of five male and four female teams.
The clubs that participated include Apo Spikers, All Stars Volleyball Club, De Friends Volleyball Club, Games Village Volleyball Club, and Kuje United Volleyball Club.
Speaking at the event, Amina Abdulmalik, a volleyballer and sports enthusiast, emphasized the importance of programs like this in fostering bonds and promoting fitness.
“Well, this is a grooving, like a mini tournament, basically, just to bring players together, especially uprising players, just for them to, you know, that spirit of sportsmanship that we always love to do during weekends, during workouts, when we don’t have anything doing just for the love of the game. You know, you can’t separate sports from the youth and then also from health. So it’s either you are doing it for leisure or you are a youth.”
The event, which brought together stakeholders from across the volleyball community and facilitated networking opportunities, took place on Saturday the 28th of June, 2025.
