The Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), has flagged off the 2025 National Wheelchair Tennis Championship at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The prestigious competition, which officially served off on Thursday, September 25, will run over three weeks, with matches scheduled as follows: Week One (September 25–28), Week Two (September 29–October 1), and Week Three (October 2–4). All matches are billed to start daily at 10:00 a.m.
According to the Federation, the tournament underscores its commitment to inclusivity in the sport and offers a unique platform for wheelchair athletes to demonstrate their skills, resilience, and passion for tennis.
With support from corporate partners, the event is set to further spotlight adaptive sports and inspire a wider appreciation for the abilities of differently-abled athletes.
The NTF has also extended an open invitation to tennis lovers, fans, and the general public to witness the spectacle, urging Nigerians to come out in numbers and cheer the players as they battle for national glory.
