Day Four of the 2025 Sheroes Cup delivered another round of high-quality football, goals, and standout performances at the Area 3 Football Pitch in Abuja, as Ekiti Queens, Remo Ladies, and FCT Ladies all claimed crucial victories to boost their positions ahead of Saturday’s final round of matches.
The prestigious women’s pre-season tournament, which serves as a key preparatory event ahead of the 2025 NWFL Premiership season, once again lived up to its billing — combining fierce competition with flashes of individual brilliance.
In one of the most intense encounters of the day, Ekiti Queens secured a thrilling 2–1 win over Dannaz Ladies.
Veteran midfielder Amarachi Okoronkwo (No. 30) opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a composed finish, giving Ekiti the early advantage. Dannaz Ladies fought back through Jumoke Afolabi (No. 8), who levelled matters in the 67th minute after sustained pressure.
However, Odun Olaleye struck late in the 87th minute to seal all three points for Ekiti Queens, ensuring their title hopes remain alive heading into the final day.
Okoronkwo, whose experience and leadership proved vital throughout the match, was deservedly named Player of the Match.
Remo Ladies continued their impressive form with a commanding 3–0 victory over Naija Ratels, displaying both attacking fluidity and defensive discipline.
The Ogun-based side struck twice in quick succession — Tobiloba S (No. 25) netting in the 27th minute before Deborah K (No. 9) doubled the lead just a minute later. Chiamaka Ojialor (No. 26) completed the rout in the 78th minute to cap a dominant performance.
Goalkeeper Cynthia Mega was named Player of the Match after producing a composed display at the back, marshalling her defence effectively and keeping a clean sheet.
Hosts FCT Ladies also impressed with a well-earned 1–0 win over Confluence Queens, thanks to a decisive strike from Ibrahim Blessing (No. 3) in the 19th minute.
Goalkeeper Anthony Uche was outstanding throughout, making a series of crucial saves to deny the Kogi-based side and earning the Player of the Match accolade.
