The Nigeria Customs Service women’s volleyball team clinched the 2025 Super Volleyball Championship with a 3-0 victory over the Ghana Air Force on Sunday, November 23, at the Borteyman Sports Complex in Accra, Ghana. The set scores read 25–20, 25–23, 25–14.

Nigeria’s sole representative went unbeaten throughout the tournament, securing decisive wins against Ghana Navy, Kalibi, Ghana Immigration, and Elwak Wings.

Samuel Onikeku, Head of Sports for the Nigeria Customs Service, credited the triumph to the substantial investment and continuous support of Comptroller General of Customs, Dr. Adewale Adeniyi (MFR). “The CGC has created an enabling environment for the players to fully express their potential,” Onikeku said.

He commended both the athletes and technical crew for their dedication, promising to maintain Nigeria’s winning streak ahead of the 2025 CGC Volleyball Premier League next December.

In addition to the championship title, Nigerian players and staff earned five individual awards: Kelechi Genevieve (MVP and Best Opposite), Maryam Ibrahim (Best Attacker), Aisha Umar (Best Server), Bukky Oluwatosin (Best Middle Blocker), and Suleiman Ajeigbe (Best Coach).
