The stage is fully set as the nation’s top volleyball clubs storm Abuja for the final phase of the 2025 Nigeria National Volleyball Premier League, scheduled for December, at the Indoor Sports Hall of the MKO Abiola Stadium.

This year’s phase organised in partnership and backing of the Controller-General of Customs is expected to deliver the most competitive edition.

Both the men’s and women’s categories will feature fierce battles as teams jostle for national ranking, dominance, and the prestigious Premier League title.

President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engr. Musa Nimrod, expressed high optimism, stating that the league has become a genuine platform for discovering new stars and raising the standard of the sport nationwide.

According to him, improved club structures and a growing fan base have transformed volleyball into one of Nigeria’s fastest-rising sports.

Ahead of the finals, Chairman of the League Management Committee, Arch. Tanimu Adamu, confirmed that all technical, logistical, and organizational preparations have reached peak readiness.

He assured that Abuja will host a world-class event befitting the nation’s premier volleyball competition.

“This final phase is more than just a championship — it’s a celebration of discipline, teamwork, and the resilience of Nigerian athletes. We appreciate the Controller-General of Customs and our partners whose support continues to drive the growth of volleyball in Nigeria,” he said.

The NVBF Media Committee is rallying sports lovers, students, families, and the general public to troop to the MKO Abiola Stadium for two exciting weeks of nonstop volleyball action, breathtaking rallies, and a vibrant sporting atmosphere.

With the countdown officially underway, the NVBF guarantees safety, smooth coordination, and a memorable experience for athletes, officials, and fans alike, as Nigeria’s volleyball giants clash for ultimate glory.
