Abia State will host the 2026 National Division 1 and Division 2 Volleyball League Finals this November at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), which is organising the 11-day championship in partnership with the state government, says the competition will feature men’s and women’s teams from across the country.
The finals will bring together clubs competing for honours in the two divisions, while providing an opportunity for emerging players to showcase their abilities.
The Federation says the partnership with the Abia State Government is part of efforts to strengthen domestic volleyball and support the development of the sport at grassroots and elite levels.
Governor Alex Otti and the NVBF are expected to provide institutional support for the competition.
The Federation has invited volleyball enthusiasts, corporate organisations, sports administrators and media organisations to support the championship.
The tournament will feature both men’s and women’s categories, with teams competing for the national Division 1 and Division 2 titles.
