President Bola Tinubu will on Friday begin a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers States, featuring the inauguration of key infrastructure projects and political engagements with All Progressives Congress (APC) members and supporters.
The President is expected to arrive in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where he will inaugurate several projects executed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration before attending an APC rally.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the projects include the new international terminal building, airport hospital and Ibom Aviation Village at Victor Attah International Airport.
Others are the Airport-Okopedi Road, Ring Road 3, AKWA-GIS Office Complex, Command and Control Centre, and ARISE Palm Resort.
Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to enable residents to welcome the President during the visit.
Tinubu will proceed to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday for another APC rally.
Onanuga described the Rivers rally as the President’s third since he formally launched his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.
The two-state visit will also provide an opportunity for Tinubu to engage political stakeholders, party leaders and supporters as his administration intensifies political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
